Free to play. Play to win. Updated October 15, 2026. The insiding allowance begins October 16, 2026 at 00:00 Eastern Time; all other rules apply upon publication.
Scope and participation
ScorchPvP is operated by SCORCHPVP LLC. Our server is free to play, with progression earned through gameplay and free events. Use a legitimately licensed Minecraft account.
These rules apply to our server, website and official Discord, including chat, voice, usernames, skins, faction names, builds, item names and uploads. Conduct elsewhere may lead to action here when it directly involves threats, scams, cheating or harassment affecting the Scorch community. Ordinary criticism of Scorch is allowed.
Follow the eligibility requirements of each service you use. Discord requires users to be at least 13 and to meet any higher minimum age required where they live. A parent or legal guardian must agree where Discord requires it. You do not need Discord to contact Scorch support. Discord Terms of Service
Published event rules may add restrictions for that event. They do not waive our safety, anti-cheat, anti-scam or consumer-rights rules. This rulebook supplements our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy; it does not take away rights that applicable law protects.
Respect and personal safety
Competitive rivalry and ordinary trash talk are part of factions. Keep them about the game.
-
Do not use discriminatory slurs, targeted hate, persistent harassment, sexual harassment, threats, or encouragement of suicide or self-harm.
-
Do not share sexual or graphic content, exploit or groom minors, or request intimate images.
-
Do not publish or threaten to expose someone's private information. This includes home addresses, phone numbers, private account details and IP addresses. Public Minecraft coordinates are different: sharing a faction's in-game location is allowed under the insiding rule.
-
Do not impersonate staff, another player or an official service to deceive people.
-
Do not spam, raid chat channels, bypass moderation filters or disrupt voice chat with excessive noise.
-
Do not use our channels for unsolicited advertising, referral spam or recruiting for unrelated services without staff approval. Ordinary discussion of another game or server is not automatically advertising.
-
Do not pressure players for money, gifts, account access or personal information.
Do not retaliate against someone for reporting a problem, appealing a decision or posting an honest review. Harassment and disclosure of private information remain prohibited regardless of the subject of a complaint.
Fair play and allowed client features
Autoclickers and gameplay macros are prohibited at every click rate. This includes software, mouse or keyboard scripts, turbo functions that generate extra clicks, and bindings that automate a sequence of combat or gameplay actions. There is no low-CPS exemption. Ordinary Minecraft controls, such as holding attack to mine, holding use to place blocks, or shift-clicking inventory items, remain allowed.
Do not use aim assistance, reach or hitbox changes, anti-knockback, unauthorized flight, speed or movement hacks, X-ray, enemy radar, hidden-player tracking, tools that reveal hidden caves or ores, or tools that reveal information you should not have.
Client or external tools that automate mining, fishing, farming, pathfinding or block placement are prohibited. This includes printer features and bots that perform gameplay or bypass inactivity restrictions. Intended server mechanics, such as approved redstone farms or native mcMMO abilities, are not client automation.
Manual key remapping, the official client's intended toggle sprint, zoom, low-fire display, shaders, performance improvements and HUDs showing legitimately available information are permitted. The Scorch Client's surface minimap, personal waypoints and server-approved markers for visible faction members, allies and truces are permitted. They do not authorize enemy tracking or hidden terrain detection.
A permitted client does not make every optional modification or feature acceptable. Do not use replay, free-camera or spectator-style tools to scout hidden bases, players or resources during active play. Ask staff about an uncertain feature before using it. Accessibility requests may be raised privately with support; ordinary key remapping does not require permission.
Use flight, enhanced movement, custom enchantments and abilities only through intended server mechanics. Do not bypass territory, combat, cooldown or event restrictions.
Bugs and service security
Do not duplicate items, currency, chest rewards or boss eggs; bypass cooldowns; abuse disconnects or rollbacks; exploit permissions; glitch through protected blocks; or deliberately manipulate packets to gain unintended access or an unfair advantage.
If you discover a likely exploit, stop using it and report it privately. Include the relevant time, location and what happened. Do not reproduce it against other players, distribute instructions, sell it or keep benefiting from it while waiting for a response. An accidental discovery is different from continued exploitation.
Do not attempt account theft, phishing, credential guessing, malware distribution, DDoS attacks, deliberate server crashes or unauthorized access to the website, launcher, server or staff tools. Do not create lag machines or deliberately overload entities, redstone, commands or network requests.
A bug report is not permission to run an intrusive security test. Obtain written authorization for its scope before testing. Staff may temporarily disable a feature, restrict an affected account or remove exploit-generated gains while investigating.
PvP and faction competition
Legitimate PvP, raiding, base destruction and ordinary combat traps are allowed where the server permits them. Losing a fight, raid or permitted inside is not by itself grounds for punishment or reimbursement.
Do not use suffocation traps, block or pearl glitches, protected-region bypasses, or deceptive teleport and service invitations falsely presented as safe. Accepting a teleport into a clearly identified PvP area does not, by itself, promise safety. Do not exploit combat tags, invulnerability, flight, grace periods or event protections to attack or escape in ways the server does not intend.
Do not farm kills, trade wins, stage defeats, feed alternate accounts or arrange artificial activity to manipulate rankings, quests, faction value or event rewards.
Alliances and truces may use the server's intended relationship features. Do not conceal cooperation to evade a published faction, alliance or event limit. Choosing not to fight someone is not, by itself, proof of illegal teaming.
Do not knowingly coordinate with cheaters or receive exploit-generated gains. Stop accepting assistance and report the issue when you discover it. Being near a cheater or sharing a faction with someone is not automatic proof of involvement.
Scamming and faction insiding
Scamming is prohibited
A scam is a deliberate deception about an agreed exchange of items, currency or services. Examples include taking payment and intentionally withholding delivery, substituting a different item, disguising an ordinary item as a valuable reward, faking staff escrow, or misleading someone about an auction quantity or price.
Describe what you are trading accurately and honor the agreed exchange. A clearly disclosed expensive price, a genuine misunderstanding, or ordinary market loss is not automatically a scam. Staff assess the evidence and context.
Keep relevant chat and transaction evidence. Report suspected scams promptly. A report does not guarantee that lost items can be recovered.
Faction insiding is allowed from October 16
Insiding means betraying a faction using access its members voluntarily gave your own account. This can include removing shared items, changing or removing claims, damaging the base, revealing its in-game location, or helping another faction raid it, provided you use legitimate permissions and otherwise follow these rules.
Faction membership and promises of loyalty do not guarantee that someone will remain loyal. An in-game contribution or membership fee does not, on its own, buy permanent protection from insiding; a specific agreed exchange remains subject to the anti-scam rule. Recruiting someone who later betrays you is a gameplay risk. Leaders should limit permissions and access accordingly. Staff will not restore property solely because an allowed inside occurred.
This permission does not cover stolen accounts, impersonation, phishing, software exploits, staff powers, real-money arrangements, or failure to fulfill an explicit trade. Calling a transaction “insiding” does not excuse taking payment without delivering what was agreed.
| Situation | Rule |
|---|---|
| A trusted member takes shared chest contents using their own granted access | Allowed insiding |
| A member gives enemies the faction's Minecraft coordinates | Allowed insiding |
| Someone takes currency for a promised item and intentionally never supplies it | Prohibited scam |
| Someone steals a password, session token or another player's account to reach a base | Prohibited account theft |
| Someone pays real money for base access, items or a betrayal service | Prohibited real-money trading |
Bases claims and cannons
Follow the server's building, claim and world restrictions, together with any published rules for the current season or event. Do not use alternate factions, artificial transfers or exploits to evade a stated limit.
Do not use cannons, redstone, water or entities to crash the server, bypass intended protections or exploit an identified bug. Staff may stop an unstable machine or temporarily close an affected area to protect play.
Any additional limits on base size, buffers, walls, cannon size, firing rate, raid claims, TNT travel, faction membership or alliance size must be published with their scope and effective date. Another server's limits do not automatically apply here. No unpublished numerical limit should be used as the sole basis for a penalty.
Accounts and alternate accounts
Protect your login details and use two-factor authentication where available. Staff will never need your password, session token, recovery code or Microsoft authentication code.
Do not buy, sell, steal or trade accounts through Scorch. Do not use alternate accounts to evade a ban or mute, bypass participation limits, manufacture progression, repeat a one-player reward or manipulate an event.
An alternate account is subject to the same rules as your main account. Sharing an internet connection or household is not by itself proof that accounts belong to the same player or that a rule was broken.
Report a compromised account promptly and secure it. Staff may restrict access while ownership and safety are reviewed. Do not assume that account sharing guarantees an exemption from moderation; individual responsibility and available evidence still matter.
Rewards events and Forge
Ranks, chests, boss eggs and other gameplay rewards are earned through the server's intended systems or free events. Do not sell them to other players for real money, cryptocurrency, gift cards or benefits on another server. Do not run wagering, gambling or cash-out schemes. In-game balances and rewards are not cash and cannot be redeemed for money through Scorch.
Real-money payments and Forge contributions are currently disabled. This rulebook does not open a store or authorize staff to collect money privately.
If a contribution-funded Forge launches later, its shared gameplay reward will be available to all players on the announced server-wide terms. Paying will not be a condition of receiving it or improve a player's reward, chances or claim allowance. Campaign details must be published before contributions open.
Free giveaways and events must state their eligibility, timing and selection method. Do not use multiple accounts or fabricated participation to gain extra entries. An event is not a promise of a cash prize unless separate official rules expressly provide one.
Report payment concerns through support if payments become available. A good-faith refund request or payment dispute is not itself a rule violation. Proven payment fraud may be investigated separately. These rules do not waive statutory consumer rights.
Reports evidence and appeals
Report problems through the official Scorch Discord or email [email protected]. Use a private support channel for account, security or personal information.
Include your Minecraft username, the other relevant usernames, an approximate date and time, and a concise account of what happened. Supply original evidence when available; identify edits or missing context. Do not fabricate reports or alter evidence to mislead staff. A report made honestly is not punishable merely because it cannot be proved.
Staff consider context, severity, intent, impact, prior violations and available evidence. Responses may include a warning, content removal, mute, temporary restriction, suspension, permanent ban, reversal of exploit gains or competition disqualification. Serious threats, exploitation or account theft may justify immediate restrictions without prior warnings.
Anticheat flags and unusual click patterns are evidence to review, not automatic proof by themselves. Faction penalties require a connection to coordinated misconduct, leadership involvement or knowing benefit; membership alone is insufficient.
For an appeal, use Discord support or email and identify the action, why you believe it was mistaken or disproportionate, and any new evidence. A parent, guardian or authorized representative may assist. A faction leader or designated officer may appeal a faction-wide action. Repeated duplicate appeals may be consolidated.
Where feasible, someone uninvolved in the original dispute should review the appeal. Staff may limit disclosure to protect private information, reporters or security systems, but should explain the rule and reason for the decision. Complaints about a staff member should be reviewed by an uninvolved administrator.
Staff must not accept bribes, favor their own faction, retaliate against reporters, misuse private information or use administrative tools for a gameplay advantage.
Privacy recordings and investigations
Staff may request relevant gameplay footage or a narrowly limited, voluntary demonstration of a disputed feature. They must explain what they are asking to see. Staff may not require passwords, authentication codes, remote computer control, unrelated personal files or a whole-device search.
Declining intrusive access is not, by itself, proof of cheating. Staff may still act on independent evidence and use proportionate temporary restrictions while investigating.
Gameplay recording and livestreaming are allowed when they comply with these rules and applicable law. Avoid exposing private conversations, account details or personal information. Obtain any legally required consent before recording voice or private communications. Joining Scorch does not provide blanket consent to record someone's private communications or use their likeness in advertising.
Only share content you have permission to share. Contact support about privacy, safety or rights concerns. Data collection, retention and deletion are addressed in the Privacy Policy; this rulebook does not authorize unrestricted monitoring.
Changes and contact
Rule changes will carry a version date and an effective date. Material gameplay restrictions will be announced before they take effect where practical. Urgent restrictions may take effect immediately to stop a security issue, exploit or serious safety risk, with notice as soon as practical.
The allowance for faction insiding takes effect on October 16, 2026 at 00:00 Eastern Time (America/New_York). Earlier conduct is assessed under the rules in effect at the time, rather than retroactively punished or excused by this change.
Staff may correct errors and remove illegitimate gains. Players should not be punished solely for breaching a new numerical limit before it was published. Temporary restrictions should identify the affected feature and remain proportionate to the issue.
