Privacy Policy

SCORCHPVP LLC ยท Updated October 15, 2026.

Scope and contact

SCORCHPVP LLC, Ohio, United States, operates scorchpvp.com, the ScorchPvP Minecraft server and the optional Scorch Launcher and Client. This policy describes information used to run those services. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions or requests.

Microsoft, Discord, hosting services and other providers also process information under their own policies. Links below identify important services involved; their policies do not replace our responsibilities for our own processing.

Information involved

Website accounts and activity

When you register or use an account, information includes your username, email address, password hash, registration and last-activity times, IP address, language and account preferences. Optional profile information, avatars, messages, posts or files are included when you supply or use them.

Authentication and security records can include session identifiers, login method, browser user-agent, IP address and session expiry. Enabling two-factor authentication creates the secret and status information needed to verify codes. Password hashes and authentication secrets are security information, not anonymous visitor statistics.

Minecraft gameplay and support

Connecting to the server involves your Minecraft username, UUID and network address. The service processes gameplay and progression information such as faction membership, claims, inventory, balances, ranks, events, chat and relevant server or moderation logs.

Reports, appeals and support requests can include your contact information, the messages you send, transaction or gameplay details, screenshots and other evidence you choose to provide. Avoid sending passwords, login codes, unrelated personal documents or another person's unnecessary private information.

Website requests and performance

Our website and hosting or security providers process connection and request information to deliver pages and downloads, diagnose failures and protect against abuse. This can include IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps, browser or device information, referring pages and security events.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is present on the website to measure page visits and loading performance. It can run independently of optional cookie choices. Cloudflare describes that analytics product as not collecting or using visitors' personal data; ordinary hosting and security processing are separate activities. See Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Why information is used

Information is used to create and authenticate accounts; deliver pages, downloads and gameplay; save progression and preferences; display social and multiplayer features; answer support requests; investigate abuse, exploits and disputes; measure reliability; and meet applicable legal obligations.

Account and technical identifiers may be personal information even when they do not contain a person's legal name. We do not describe email addresses, usernames or IP addresses as universally anonymous.

Cookies and browser choices

The site uses a session cookie, including PHPSESSID, to maintain a session. Remember Me can create persistent login storage when selected. Other storage can preserve preferences, cookie choices, language or dismissed announcements.

Use the website's Cookies control or the Cookie Notice to review available settings. Browser controls can also block or clear cookies and site storage; doing so may sign you out or prevent account features from working.

Selecting Disallow does not stop requests needed to deliver or protect the site, and it does not promise to disable every performance measurement. Cloudflare's analytics beacon is separate from the website's optional-cookie controls. Closing a notice, registering or browsing is not blanket consent to unrelated data uses.

Sharing and visibility

Information is available to authorized staff and service providers as needed for operation, moderation, support and security. Hosting, network delivery, email and software distribution services may process information for those purposes.

Depending on the feature, other users can see usernames, avatars, online status, public profile details, posts, faction information, gameplay and leaderboard activity. A private message or report is not public posting, but it may be accessed by its recipients and authorized staff for support, safety or administration. Do not assume another player will keep information confidential.

Avatar and skin images may load from MC-Heads or Crafthead when those features are displayed. The provider can receive the requested Minecraft identifier and ordinary connection information. The homepage player count uses a Scorch endpoint; its server-status lookup does not forward visitor account information to the status provider.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or a valid legal request, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce our rules, or protect people and the service. This does not authorize unrestricted public disclosure.

Clicking Discord, Microsoft or another external link sends you to a separate service. Its operator receives information from your visit and handles your account under its own policy. See Microsoft Privacy and Discord Privacy.

Optional launcher and client

Microsoft authentication occurs through Microsoft's authorization service. The launcher receives tokens needed to verify your account and run the game; it does not ask you to type a Microsoft password into a Scorch password form.

The current Windows launcher stores saved refresh credentials locally using operating-system-backed encryption. Access tokens are held in memory during use. Your Minecraft username and UUID identify the account used to launch the game.

Launcher settings, installed files, update caches and diagnostic logs are stored in your user application-data directory. Client settings and waypoints are stored in the managed game instance. Local logs may contain technical and account-related details; review them before sharing them with support.

Signing out removes the launcher's saved login record. It does not automatically sign you out of your browser or revoke permissions granted through Microsoft. Use Microsoft's account controls for those choices.

Authentication and downloads contact Scorch, Microsoft/Minecraft and relevant software distribution providers. These requests expose ordinary connection information to the receiving service. A server you join also receives the information needed for multiplayer play. Our HUD integration uses server-provided gameplay data for supported displays.

Payments

Real-money payments and Forge contributions are currently unavailable. Scorch's present website has no active payment checkout for those features. Do not send payment-card details to staff or through support messages.

If payments are introduced, the privacy information and checkout disclosures will identify the relevant processing before payment information is collected. This policy does not authorize a future payment system to collect unspecified data.

Retention security and deletion

Retention varies with the type of information and its purpose, including account operation, gameplay continuity, security investigations, dispute handling and legal duties. Account data, logs, moderation records and backups do not necessarily have the same retention period.

An account-deletion request does not mean every log, backup, message received by another person or independently shared copy disappears immediately. We assess what can be removed or de-identified and what must be retained for a legitimate purpose or legal obligation. Contact support for information relevant to your request.

We use account protections, access controls and security measures to reduce risk. No service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your own credentials, use available two-factor authentication and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.

Scorch is based in the United States. Online services and providers may process information in other locations. This policy does not promise that every copy stays in one country.

Your requests and children

You can update available account details through account settings. Contact [email protected] about access, correction, deletion, restrictions or other privacy choices available under applicable law. We may need to verify your identity or a representative's authority using information proportionate to the request. Do not email passwords or authentication codes.

Rights and exceptions depend on applicable law and the information involved. We will consider your request and explain relevant limits. Raising a good-faith privacy request will not itself result in punishment.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the situation and take steps required by applicable law. Children should not post their address, contact details or other private information. Any parental consent required by law must be handled separately; using the service or accepting the Terms is not a substitute.

Discord has its own minimum-age rules. A child or parent who cannot use Discord can contact Scorch by email.

Changes

We will date updates to this policy and provide notice of material changes as appropriate. Where applicable law requires consent for a new use, updating this page alone will not supply it. Contact support with questions about the policy or a change.
