# Third-party notices

Scorch Client source and its visual layout were authored for ScorchPvP. No Cosmic binary, branding, private integration, authentication code, map, or extracted game textures are included. The supplied concept remains in `docs/reference` for design review; it is not bundled in the mod.

The current [Minecraft EULA](https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/eula) and [Usage Guidelines](https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/usage-guidelines) were reviewed on 2026-10-03. Distribution consists of the original mod, licensed font and launcher with the open-source dependencies above; a combined modified Minecraft copy is not a release artifact. The launcher retrieves official game/runtime dependencies on the player's machine. No paid-client or cosmetic monetization is authorized by this project setup. No claim of Mojang, Microsoft, Cosmic, or font-author endorsement. Scorch's original source is not included in the binary release; a source-distribution license has not yet been selected.

## Scorch soundtrack

The supplied MP3 was converted to stereo Ogg Vorbis for native Minecraft playback;
no arrangement edits were made. Playback loops. The main menu shows the credit
at bottom left, and the JAR includes this notice and the full license in
`assets/scorchclient/music/`. No endorsement is implied. Source/conversion hashes
and format details are in `music/manifest.json`. FFmpeg is build tooling only and
is not shipped. The music's license covers the soundtrack, not Scorch source.

## Faithful resource packs

Scorch Launcher includes Faithful 32x and Faithful 64x for Minecraft Java 1.8.9, by Faithful Resource Pack contributors, under [Faithful License v4](https://faithfulpack.net/license). Website: https://faithfulpack.net. Textures are unchanged; Scorch adds a credited pack description and distribution notice. Each ZIP includes the unmodified license. Source commits and hashes are pinned in `launcher/src/runtime/resourcepacks.json`. These packs remain free and are not endorsed by Faithful as a Scorch product.
