SCORCH LAUNCHER 0.2.0-alpha.24 / HUD 0.1.15 ALPHA
https://scorchpvp.com/client

EARLY ACCESS
The owner requested this public testing release. Full player walkthrough and
compatibility qualification are still in progress. Report problems to ScorchPvP.

WINDOWS LAUNCHER
Requires 64-bit Windows and an account that owns Minecraft Java Edition.
Scorch Client is optional. A supported regular client can still play on ScorchPvP.

1. Download ScorchLauncher-0.2.0-alpha.24-Setup.exe and run the installer.
Open Scorch Launcher from your desktop or Start menu.
2. Select Sign in with Microsoft. Complete sign-in on Microsoft's website using
the account that owns Minecraft Java Edition. If the page asks for a code,
copy the code shown in Scorch Launcher. Your password stays on Microsoft's site.
3. Select Play Scorch. The launcher prepares Java 8, Minecraft 1.8.9, Forge 2318,
and the Scorch HUD automatically. The first launch needs an internet connection
and can take a few minutes. Progress is shown in the launcher.
4. Choose Multiplayer > ScorchPvP. The managed client pre-adds scorchpvp.com
without removing your other saved servers. Press Right Shift to open the HUD editor.
Rebind the shortcut in Minecraft's Options > Controls if needed.

LAUNCHER SETTINGS
Settings lets you adjust game memory, open your game folder or launcher logs,
and check for updates. Memory changes apply the next time you launch Minecraft.
Every published change requires the current launcher. Select Update to Play
when shown. Scorch reopens automatically after the update finishes. When updating
from an older launcher, leave "Run Scorch Launcher" selected and choose Finish.
The launcher checks for required updates before Play. Install any launcher update to continue; connection or update-service failures must be resolved before playing.

YOUR HUD
Inventory and container menus use their normal Minecraft layout. Compact held
items and visible arms remain available in Right Shift > Features > Held items /
arms. Adjust item size, X/Y position and arm visibility with live previews.
Features opens on the left so you can see your first-person item. Save Profile
keeps the preview; Cancel/Escape restores saved settings. Reset held item settings
restores its defaults. Existing arm choices, HUD layouts and minimap settings stay
saved. Maps and empty hands keep native rendering.

Open the Features tab for gear/buff flashes, quiet warning sounds, sprint toggle,
zoom strength, fire height, particle controls and waypoint options.
Default keys: V toggles sprint, hold C to zoom, P manages waypoints, B toggles
chunk borders. Rebind all keys in Minecraft Controls if they conflict.
Base, raid and death markers stay local to your player, server and dimension.
Press P > Edit to change names, coordinates, colors and beacon height/width.
Shown waypoints can appear as beams, world labels and compass markers; each
option can be switched separately. Hidden waypoints appear in neither place.
ScorchPvP server HUD activation is staged for the owner's next restart.
Combat/cooldown and Envoy/KOTH panels need the optional Scorch server bridge.
While the hosted bridge is awaiting activation, they say Server data unavailable.
The current server has teleblock, but no general pearl cooldown to display.
Select a widget, then drag to move it or use its bottom-right handle to resize.
Arrow keys nudge; Shift + arrows move faster. Adjust scale, opacity and colors,
or start with a preset. Save Profile commits changes; Cancel or Escape discards
the edit session. The <> control moves the editor to the other side.

SETTINGS / REMOVAL
In the launcher, choose Settings > Game folder. Your layout is under
config/scorchclient/hud.json. To reset it, move both hud.json and hud.json.bak to
a backup folder while Minecraft is closed. Uninstall Scorch Launcher through
Windows Installed Apps. Keep a copy of screenshots and layouts you want to save.

ADVANCED: MANUAL HUD-MOD INSTALLATION
The launcher is the standard player setup. The standalone HUD JAR remains
available if you prefer to manage an existing Forge installation yourself.

1. In the Minecraft Launcher, install and start Minecraft 1.8.9 once, then close it.
2. Install Forge 1.8.9 build 11.15.1.2318 using Java 8:
   https://files.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/index_1.8.9.html
Select Install client in the Forge installer.
3. Edit the Forge installation in your Minecraft Launcher. Choose a dedicated
Game Directory and Java 8 executable. Create a mods folder in that directory.
4. Put scorch-client-0.1.15.jar into mods, then launch that Forge installation.
Do not put the client JAR in a server's plugins folder.
5. To remove the mod, close Minecraft and remove the JAR from that mods folder.

WHAT THIS ALPHA INCLUDES
Compass, armor/held-item durability, active potions, FPS/ping/left and right CPS,
coordinates, keystrokes, server sidebar, adjustable widgets and saved profiles.
Gear/buff warnings, saved waypoints, chunk borders, sprint toggle, zoom, lower
fire and native particle controls are included. Live combat/event data requires
the separately installed server bridge. Cosmetics and faction maps are not included.

See RELEASE-NOTES.txt for validation and limitations, SHA256SUMS.txt for hashes,
and THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt for dependency notices. The launcher uses the licensed
Rajdhani font; its license is included. The installer does not bundle Minecraft
game files. Required game files are obtained from their official sources.

Scorch Client is not affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft or Cosmic Client.

INCLUDED LAUNCHER RESOURCE PACKS
Faithful 32x is selected once when your managed game has no custom pack selected.
Faithful 64x is also installed. Choose packs in Minecraft: Options > Resource Packs.
Your custom packs and later selections (including Default) are preserved.
Both keep diamond armor blue/cyan. Special gear colors are not implemented.
Textures by Faithful Resource Pack contributors: https://faithfulpack.net
Included free under https://faithfulpack.net/license (also inside each pack ZIP).
The standalone HUD mod does not install these launcher resource packs.

Circular minimap: Right Shift > HUD > Circular Minimap (search Circular). Drag it to move, use Map size or its corner handle to resize (72-288 GUI pixels). Size previews live. Save Profile commits; Cancel/Escape discards. North is up, the arrow shows your facing direction, and enabled nearby compass waypoints use their saved colors. This surface map updates from loaded client chunks only, roughly 62 blocks in each direction. Nearby server-confirmed faction members (green), allies (pink) and truces (cyan blue) use directional player arrows. Your arrow stays white. Friendly markers require HUD Bridge 0.1.1 after the server owner restarts; missing or expired data shows no friends. No caves or mobs are revealed.
